Vegetarian "bacon" is a soy product that is meant to taste like bacon for vegetarian and sometimes vegan people. It is also derisively called "fakon" by some.
Not to be confused with "Eggplant Bacon", which is a vegan "bacon substitute" that bears no resemblance at all to any kind of bacon.
